Brunson Technical Associates is an experienced and uniquely qualified company that provides program management, construction management, design management, and urban planning.

History

Albert Brunson founded Brunson Builders, (now Brunson Technical Associates, LLC dba Brunson Builders) in 1997 after serving for six years as a Rail Station Designer and Bus Facilities Construction Manager, and another six years as Director of Construction and Assistant Vice President - Construction Management for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). During his tenure, DART completed its twenty-mile light rail starter line. Since that time the company continues to provide constructibility analyses; project control (scheduling and estimating); project engineering; environmental compliance monitoring; architectural, civil, and track inspection, and other field support expertise. These services have been provided for the light rail starter programs in Houston, TX and Phoenix, AZ. These services are currently provided to light rail and other non-transit program management projects with DART and the City of Fort Worth, TX.

Founder

Al Brunson was raised in Flint, Michigan. He attended Howard University where he received the Bachelor of Architecture degree. Upon graduation, he fulfilled his active duty military obligation as a Combat Engineer Platoon Leader (Combat Heavy Construction) with the First Infantry Division (the Big Red One). He retired from the US Army Reserve as a Colonel in June 2008 after 32 years of numerous engineering assignments. His career highlights include: Residential Construction Superintendent, General Homes; Designer and Chief of Contract Programming, Lackland Air Force Base; Director of Technical Services, American GuestHouse Hotels; and Director of Construction and Assistant Vice President – Construction Management, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).

Mission

Our mission is to provide a broad spectrum of technical and contracting services with skill, versatility, and integrity. Our expertise can be mobilized to support light rail, freight rail, highway, airport, port facility, and private development projects.
